WERCing Woman Spotlight

Our WERCing Woman Spotlight brightly shines on…SPOTLIGHT Shannon

Shannon

As a busy mother of three, Shannon needed WERC to help her reintegrate into the working environment quickly and with sound knowledge of the workforce. She developed more efficient and productive problem solving strategies within the workplace – both with people and computers!

Through a variety of workshops and public speakers she was able to rediscover a love for herself and her determination to make a better life for herself and her children. Shannon graduated from WERC’s Professional Pathways program in 2013 and was instantly an employer’s dream!

Her days of unemployment vanished soon after as she was swiftly scooped up by the Parkway Center to join their team. Within two years she was promoted to Program Director due to her dedication, diligence and strong work ethic. The best part of her job is helping people who are in need to maintain an active and engaged lifestyle so that they can remain in their home for years to come.

Shannon’s love of WERC is due to “…their mission to help every woman be uplifted, empowered, integrated, and supported to maintain a happy and successful personal and professional life.”

By supporting WERC, you invest in an individual who has an incredible impact on many people: themselves, their family, our community and the economy as a whole.

Help keep the Mohawk Valley’s workforce moving in the right direction!
